1:365 EWian 2010

It is not difficult(I hope) one picture a day for a year... I am starting my "365 day photo project". It is a Flickr project, however I'll post the pictures here as well, once a week with all of my photos for the week in one post, rather than posting everyday.

This project comes as an addition to the art journalling I do everyday http://ewian.blogspot.com/2009/06/drawing-everyday.html

Movie Monda#23 Sintel

“Sintel” is an independently produced short film, initiated by the Blender Foundation as a means to further improve and validate the free/open source 3D creation suite Blender. It has proven to be a viable development model for both open 3D technology as for independent animation film. www.sintel.org

Friday Night Art 22.10.10

Friday Night Art 22.10.10

This is what I am working on Friday 22 of October, 2010. Or to be more correct what I am trying to work on. There is a little problem with my cat trying to play along. So I started editing a art journal video instead. The journal is from the 09/10 Round Robin arrange on the Milliande ning group. A bit more tweaking and then I need to find some free music to go a long.

Movie Monda#22 Going West

I love books! I love the feeling of touching them and the way they look on there own and together, that feeling of calm and expectation all at the same time...
...course I love reading them and enjoying the illustrated art work that some have...

When I stumeled upon this little film at Ingrid Dijkers I mas amazed! The art work is flourishly great.

It is made by stop-motion animation by Anderson M Studios for the New Zealand Book Council. You can chek out Anderson M Studios website here http://andersenm.com

GeoCaching 10/10/10

10/10/10 is the date of Groundspeak’s global geocaching challenge. The date is significant because it represents 10 years of geocaching and 10 years of Groundspeak in 2010. Owners of this souvenir were a part of the attempt to break the record of the most geocachers going geocaching on a single day. The previous record was 56,654 accounts logging on April 18, 2010.

I can prowdly say I am a part of this! The caches I visided was Lofoten GC50E2 and Bjerkviking GC11YAV .

If you Geocache and there is something left of your day 10.10.10 you too can be a part of it, and if you miss it there are allot of other caches and advents for you to take part of.

Happy hunting.

View form a studio window - video

I am participating in a moley_X project. If you are curious or want to follow the adventure of this group of artists from around the world, in a Japanese fold Moleskine sketchbook exchange you can go here: http://moleskinex79.blogspot.com

As mention in my blog post yesterday: http://ewian.blogspot.com/2010/10/view-form-studio-window.html My inspiration for this entry was the view from my studio window. I love the motive of the clothesline. This one I share with my neighbour. In this entry I have used a bit whimsical style. So excited to see how the rest of the book will develop. Wondering how people and the art will interact on the pages.

Medium used: pencil, eraser, acrylic paint, iridescent, vinyl paint, vintage paper, permanent marker, crystal gloss, promarkers, gesso and glue.

Music by Free-Spoken Band titled, Back Home you can find them on Jamendo http://www.jamendo.com/en/artist/Free-spoken_band

I'll upload the video on how I made my entry, just need to edit it down to under 10 minutes.
